Gurbani has some amazing scenery and metaphors. One of the most predominant themes in Gurbani is about the boat. I finally got some creative energy and painted after about a two year break or maybe longer.
Translation:
"The Lord Himself is the Boat, the Raft and the Boatman.
The Lord Himself, through the Guru's Teachings, saves us.

0 - Sunn -State before Big bang. Guru Nanak, while considering the creation and evolution of the universe, states ਨਾ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਨ ਚੰਦੁ ਨ ਸੂਰਜੁ ਸੁੰਨ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਗਾਇਦਾ ॥੧॥. This means that there was no day or night, no moon or sun, God sat in his primal or sunn (zero) state.
1 - God -Ek Onkar. 2-davaita(two sides of God -both Satguru and Maya(separation) -duha siria ka aap swami Khele bigse anterjami -Shri Sukhmani Sahib. 3 -trai gun of Maya, 4 _Yugas(ages - times in history), 5 senses or Kam krodh, loab,ankhar.moh the 5 goods, 5 elements in the creation -Earth,water,fire,space,air etc 6 Shey gur, shey updesh, 7Guru Ram Das on page 84, line 4 refers to Sapaṯ (seven) ḏīp (islands) sapaṯ (seven) sāgrā (seas),8 n Gurbani, the Sikh scripture of Guru Granth Sahib, the term pahar represents a watch, or unit of three hours, so atth pahar represents a twenty-four hour period of time:
"Atthee peharee atth khandd naavaa khandd sareer ||
During the eight watches, destroy the eight (three qualities plus five evils) and the ninth, mortality (egoism) is conquered." SGGS||146
In the Sikh scripture asatt is also used in conjunction with the number eight and usually references sidhic, or yogic powers:9ccording to Manmohan Singh in the appendix of his eight-volume Steek, or translation of Sikh scripture, the significance of number nine may include but is not limited to:
Nav greh - nine Stars, (sun, moon and several planets).
Nau khand or chaar - nine regions of earth, (locations in Middle East).
Nav chhia - Vedic grammars.

Mario Livio (born 1945) is an Israeli-American astrophysicist and an author of works that popularize science and mathematics. From 1991 till 2015 he was an astrophysicist at the Space Telescope Science Institute, which operates the Hubble Space Telescope. His book on the irrational number phi, The Golden Ratio: The Story of Phi, the World's Most Astonishing Number (2002), won the Peano Prize and the International Pythagoras Prize for popular books on mathematics.
