This is a continuation of chapter summaries from Bhai Sewa Singh Ji Tarmala’s book Pantha Prem Na Janiye.
This chapter starts off explaining about how Bhai Mani Singh and Baba Deep Singh Ji were able to merge into Dasam Dwar to be able to get the Banis and write Guru Granth Sahib Ji. During the day the mind is in the body via the air and is living its life here. At night, the mind disconnects from the body and either falls into Bhavsagar or connects to Naam. If it is connected to Naam it can learn to use its sukham (subtle, non-physical) senses and vision. It can do this day and night if it is connected to Naam. When the mind can be awake and aware of both worlds (parlok and lok) then it is called dib drisht and it will be able to understand deeper meaning of Gurbani from God’s mouth. Sumdrisht means a person who is able to be in the world and listening to Naam at the same time.
Our real house is Sunn, and we must remember that when we enter this body it is a drama. In this chapter the Kumbh Kirya technique was discussed. In this method, you pause air at the belly button, take a few breaths, and then the breath stops at the Sunn Ghaat between the eyes and nose. Next, a person is absorbed into Sunn and hear Anhad Bani. Then a person stays awake by Gyaan in a state called Sun Smaadh. Then a person is absorbed into Sunn by listening to the Anhad Bani, and the mind is able to cross the Bhavsagar/Dhaval. At the Nij Ghar, there is a bright light from jot, the Divine sound resonates, and it rains Amrit.
